Wild Country Crew Thermal Top - Snow/BoysPLU 255389
When you go on your next ski trip or an adventure where you need to stay warm consider thermals. Thermal wear (or base layer) can keep your warm and cosy without the bulkiness of thick layers.
What it does: The base layer protects your core body temperature and removes moisture away from your skin. By doing this your body temperature is maintained and regulated. Any activity such as walking or skiing can cause perspiration and if moisture remains against the skin this can lead to dampness, increase chill factor and of course an uncomfortable fit.
How it works: Base layers are made from a variety of fabrics including nature fibres such as wool and synthetics fabrics such as polypropylene. Base layers are designed to transfer moisture away from the body. This process allows the moisture to evaporate and helps to ensure a dry and comfortable body even after sweating and moisture build up. A good fitting base layer should be snug against the body to reduce air flow and allow for moisture transference. A longer back length will also enable the base layer to be tucked in to reduce exposed skin and help trap warmth.
There are different types of Thermal wear depending on your situation and your needs
